Hobby project to improve playability/fun of Pokemon Go without real-time scanning...
I got fed up walking around in a random walk, so decided to give this tool a chance, so collected some data.
Spawns of pokemon have a fixed location
Every hour at the same time (say 10 minutes past the hour) a pokemon will spawn at that same point and stay there for 15 minutes, a minor percentage of the spawn spots will spawn more often
The type of pokemon that will spawn is related to the environment: water, park, shopping malls all have their own types
Some special spots will have a high percentage of 1 type pokemon (e.g. Scyther, Pikachu)
Clusters of special spots are called nests, e.g. a small park full of Bulbasaur spots
Spawn spots do appear and disappear occasionally, no logic has been found yet
Migrations take place (last two were each after 3 weeks, around 29-Jul and 23-Aug): the special spawn can change to something else... An Electrabuzz spot can become a Pinsir spot etc. Logic is generally adding 0, 1 or 2 to the Pokemon ID.
